2009-2010 Studio Policies

Welcome Dancers to our 15^th season!  We are so excited to begin a new year with you! 
Please read through the studio guidelines and return a signed copy to the studio before classes begin.

We are so glad that you have chosen to be a part of the RDSS family!

DANCE CLASS ATTIRE:  Please make sure your dancer is properly prepared for the dance discipline they are studying. There should be no jewelry of any kind worn for any dance class.  Post earrings are fine. Hair for girls must be off of the face and pulled up. Please put your child’s hair in a bun for all ballet classes.  Cell phones must be set to vibrate and kept in dance bags during class time.

NEW- Dance Shoes & Attire may be purchased through the studio. 
             Please see the web site for ordering information.

Dance attire options:        Leotard, fitted tank top, tights, jazz pants or jazz shorts.  Ballet – see below.
                                                                   Tights need to be worn for all classes. 
 
Shoes Style/Color:                Shoes may need to be dyed for the recital.

Tiny Stars and PreBallet	Pink leather ballet slippers
Ballet/Tap Combo	Pink leather ballet slippers and Dark Tan or Suntan leather tap shoes
	Dancers will purchase 1 costume for the recital and wear Ballet or Tap Shoes.
PreTap	Dark Tan or Suntan leather tap shoes
Pre Jazz/Pom/HipHop	Dark Tan or Suntan slip on Jazz Boot
Lv. 1 - 4 Classes
Jazz, Pom, Leaps &Turns	Dark Tan or Suntan slip on Jazz Boot
	Foot Undeez or Dance paws may be worn during classes.
Tap	Lv. 1 – Dark Tan with Buckle   Lv 2-up Dark Tan or Suntan Tap shoes   Preferably Slip on.
Lyrical	Foot Undeez or dance paws
Hip Hop	Black Dance Sneakers
Ballet	Girls: Black Leotard, Pink Tights
	Hair must be pulled back in a ballet bun.
	Pink leather or canvas ballet shoes
	Dance Belt – to be purchase at the RDSS front desk.
	Boys: White T- Shirt, Black shorts or cut off sweat pants.
	Black Ballet shoes

Communication                  
RDSS EMAIL:  Please provide your email address on your registration forms to receive all posted notices, announcements and newsletters from the studio. This way you are informed of any announcements.

Please call the studio voicemail to listen for any cancelled classes in the event of extreme inclement weather. Everyone who provides an email address will be notified via email if classes are canceled.

Please do not hesitate to contact the studio if you have any questions regarding classes, your dancer or other matters. If you would like to speak to Ms Raedene directly, please email her at rdss2@yahoo.com and leave your name and phone number.  She receives all emails on her phone and will contact you within the day.
Payment Information
Parent acknowledges that they are responsible to make timely payments of the balances due on the Raedene's Dancin' Stars Studio Inc. account.  Parent further acknowledges that if their payment is not received by 15 days after the due date, they authorize Raedene's Dancin' Stars Studio Inc. to initiate electronic payments for any balances due on my account PLUS an administrative late fee of $10.00. Payments will be processed with the payment information on-file at Raedene's Dancin' Stars Studio Inc. It is the parent responsibility to keep credit cards and bank information current.

 

We highly recommend enrolling in the Auto pay program.  Less worries about remembering due dates or your dancer leaving the check in their dance bag!

 

Accounts that are over 15 days past due, will be charged $10.00 the first of the month until the account is paid in full.  Classes will be suspended for accounts that are 30 days past due.  Declined Bank Drafts or Returned Checks will be charged a $30.00 fee.

 

Dancer’s accounts must be up to date in order to participate in dance competitions, recitals and any other RDSS event.  Tuition, costume payments and registration fees are non refundable.

 

Payment Calendar

RDSS divides the year into 10 payments.    Once you begin a new month, tuition is non refundable for that month.  Some months have 3 weeks some have 5.  Tuition is based on an average of 35-38 weeks of classes.  Classes end June 12^th.

 

It is the guardian responsibility to make monthly payments according to the due dates listed below.  

Payment 1 & 2 Tuition is due upon registering

Payment 3 & 4 Tuition is due October 15th.                            $10.00 Late Fee posted Nov 1^st.

Costume Fees are due by December 1^st.                                   Costumes will not be ordered until payment is made in full

Payment 5 & 6 Tuition is due December 15th.                       $10.00 Late Fee posted Jan 1^st.

Payment 7 & 8 Tuition is due February 15^th                           $10.00 Late Fee posted March 1^st.

Payment 9 & 10 Tuition is due April 15^th                                 $10.00 Late Fee posted May 1^st.

Payment 11 (company dancers only) is due May 15^th         $10.00 Late Fee posted June 1^st.

 

Drops/Changing Classes

·         If you wish to drop a class, we must be notified in WRITING one week before the end of a session, or you will be responsible for paying the following session.  You may use the customer portal or a note mailed/given to notify us.  I UNDERSTAND THAT IT WILL NOT BE SUFFICIENT NOTICE TO MERELY TELL AN INSTRUCTOR OR OFFICE EMPLOYEE. 

·         If you drop or change a class, your tuition will be updated for the following month.

 

Recital

·         Annual Dance Recital is held at Dakota H.S.  Rec. Dancers will perform in 2 shows. Tentative Date June 4^th – 6^th.

·         Dancers will receive a packet of Recital forms that need to be turned in on time to help us plan an organized event!

 

Recreational Costume Fees

·         Tiny Stars – Ballet /Tap Combo – Pre. Classes $65.00

·         Lv. 1 Classes  $75.00    Lv. 2-up $85.00

·         Poms - $25.00 per set   Required for students in Pom Classes.

·         Costume fees are a fixed amount and are based on prices we have paid over the years.

·         Costumes will be billed to your account Nov 1^st and are due in full by Dec 1^st. 

·         Costumes will not be ordered if a balance is due. 

·         We order the costumes during the Dec break and pay for the costumes in full.

·         Refunds are not permitted on costumes or deposits once ordered.

·         All fees must be paid before you may purchase recital tickets and perform in the rehearsals and recital.

 

Performance Fee

·         There is a performance fee of $24 per family to offset the cost of renting the Recital Facility. RDSS pays over $24,000 in rental fees.  This does not include other costs associated in running the recital.  This fee will be posted and due in 2 payments of $12.00 Feb & April.

·         Tickets for the dance recital will be on sale in May 2010 and will cost ONLY $9 !!!!  Savings Example: Your total fee for 8 tickets and the performance fee is $96.00, compared to $104.00 last year at the $13.00 ticket price.  The saving increases the more tickets you purchase.  A $16.00 savings if you purchase 10 tickets.  We hope that more guests will be able to watch your Dancin’ Star with this reduced ticket price.
